U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has said it supports impartial investigation involving the incidents involving former Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Valeriya Gontareva and her family.
“We support a prompt, impartial investigation of the incidents involving former Governor Gontareva and her family,” wrote the embassy on Facebook on Friday.
As reported, a car of Valeriya Gontareva, the daughter-in-law of the former NBU governor Valeriya Gontareva, was doused in petrol and burned in front of her house in the center of Kyiv on Thursday night, a banker who is now in a hospital in London said after a running-down accident.
Gontareva believes that her opponents switched from verbal threats to real actions.
