The United States is calling on the Russian authorities to allow the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine to fulfill its mandate and monitor, in particular, in the temporarily Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories, the press service of the U.S. State Department said on Nov. 4.

It said on Facebook that the United States reiterates its call on Russia to allow the OSCE SMM to fulfill its mandate and monitor the entire territory of Ukraine, including the Russian-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the occupied Crimea,” the message says.

The State Department also calls on the Russian Federation to open all checkpoints of entry and exit along the contact line in eastern Ukraine to ensure the free movement of civilians.
