Deputies of Uzhgorod Town Council approved the implementation of this project on terms of co-financing at the session on August 3.

Mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriiv wrote on his Facebook page that it is planned to purchase Electron E18 electric buses [produced by the Lviv Electron concern].

He also said that seven new Electron low-floor buses have recently arrived in the town, in addition to previously purchased buses from the same manufacturer, but they are already more comfortable and air-conditioned.

“Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the delivery of components to production facilities was delayed, so we had to wait longer than we expected. Soon, a total of 27 modern low-floor buses will run through the town streets,” Andriiv wrote.

Uzhgorod purchased the first 10 units of low-floor buses Electron in 2018.
