Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are now available in the Kyiv vaccination center. Previously, only CoronaVac was available.
On July 18, Ukraine received 2 million doses of the Moderna vaccine against the COVID-19 coronavirus from the United States of America as part of the initiative of COVAX.
As of today, all adults over the age of 18 can book an appointment. AstraZeneca (Covishield), Sinovac Biotech, Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna are among the available vaccines.
There are three ways to register for the vaccine: using the Helsi website, the Diya app or coming directly to the vaccination center.
One can submit an application for vaccination on the Diya app where they will be put on a waitlist.
After one has done so, users can select the city and choose the convenient time slot on the Helsi website. After registering, a confirmation message will be sent via SMS. It will need to be shown at the entrance to the vaccination center together with a passport.
For a quick vaccination procedure, it is advisable to have a signed declaration from a family doctor.
In Kyiv, the vaccination center is located at the International Exhibition Centre. It is also possible to get the vaccine in the local hospitals. It is completely free to get a jab.
The fifth and final stage of COVID-19 vaccination began in Ukraine on July 21. According to the Ministry of Health, more than 2.7 million people have received their first dose and 1.5 million people have been fully vaccinated as of July 21.
