Unknown individuals broke off the head of the monument to poet Taras Shevchenko, which is located in the culture and recreation park of the city of Stryi, Lviv region of Ukraine, Ukrainian media ZAXID.NET has reported.
“Law enforcement officials found in the morning of February 11, that unknown individuals had broken off the head of the monument to poet Taras Shevchenko in the culture and recreation park. It was not found near the monument,” the report said.
The Stryi police office said they had registered the incident and were conducting a probe to determine the culprits.
