You're reading: Vereschuk intends to ‘urgently’ visit Donbas

Iryna Vereschuk plans to make her first working trip as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine to Donbas next week.

“If everything goes well, I plan to go to Donbas immediately, without delay, next week,” she told reporters on the sidelines of parliament on Nov. 4.

At the same time, she said that first of all she wants to talk with people “who live there, who know about the problems in the best possible way, who suffer from unemployment, environmental threats and who really have problems with paying for housing and communal services today.”

On November 4, the parliament of Ukraine appointed Iryna Vereschuk to the post of Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
