The Verkhovna Rada has adopted at the first reading the draft law on the state budget for 2022.
The corresponding decision at a plenary session on Nov. 2 was supported by 273 deputies with the required 226 votes.
As reported, on Oct. 20, the Verkhovna Rada began to consider the draft state budget for 2022 and adopted it as a basis, after which the parliament began discussing separate amendments of deputies.
Budget revenues for 2022 in the bill submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by the government are determined at the level of Hr 1.277 trillion, which is Hr 161 billion more compared to the planned indicators of the state budget for 2021. Expenditures are proposed to be set in the amount of Hr 1.465 trillion (plus Hr 103 billion to the planned indicator of the state budget-2021). The budget deficit is proposed to be set at 3.5% of GDP compared to 5.5% in the 2021 state budget.
The draft state budget 2022, as indicated in the Budget Declaration, is based on the forecast of nominal GDP growth to Hr 5.368 trillion, real GDP growth by 3.8%, the hryvnia-to-dollar exchange rate corridor at the end of the year – Hr/$28.6-28.7.
