Six years ago, Ukrainians from all over the country came to Kyiv to join the EuroMaidan protests against then-President Viktor Yanukovych.
Yanukovych fled the country on Feb. 22, 2014, but the price of the revolution was steep — at least 78 protesters were killed by security forces. The murdered demonstrators became known in Ukraine as the Heavenly Hundred.
To commemorate the sixth anniversary of the EuroMaidan Revolution, the Kyiv Post is sharing the stories of the Heavenly Hundred heroes through the eyes of the family they left behind.
