A wildfire was reported in the Pishchane forest district near the village of Kolesnykivka, Luhansk region’s Stanytsia Luhanska district, on Wednesday, July 3; the area of the fire includes two sectors covering about 20 hectares of the forest floor.
“As of 07:00 a.m. Kyiv time on July 4, some 110 people and 25 units of equipment, including 86 workers and 20 units of equipment from the State Emergency Situations Service, were sent to the fire site. Among them, there are 10 members of a bomb disposal squad with three units of equipment,” the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine said.
According to the source, an explosion occurred during the plowing of the fire site, as a result of which a tractor driver of the forestry was injured: his arm was wounded and he suffered from shell-shock. The bomb disposal squad is working on the site.
