Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed on Jan. 18 the situation in Ukraine over a phone call with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande.
“Dissatisfaction was expressed with the general situation surrounding the settlement of the Ukraine crisis,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
