Candidate for the presidency of Ukraine, showman Volodymyr Zelenskiy has called on Ukrainians for unity in his new election campaign video.
“We are the ones who were divided into the right and the wrong, the Little Russians and “those wearing embroidered shirts” (vyshyvankas), those who are called thuggish groups, clowns, and Ukes. But we are Ukrainians living in the west, east, north, south and center. And we are tired of standing still, waiting for this epoch to end. Epoch of greed, poverty, lies,” presidential candidate Zelenskiy said in the off-text of his election campaign video published on his pages on Instagram and Facebook on Wednesday.
According to the video plot, two large groups of people of different ages, gender and social status are standing on opposite sides of the road, waiting for the green light to cross the roadway.
“This is why we are doing it together – Ukrainian-speaking and Russian-speaking, well-to-do and unemployed people, those who defend Ukraine, and those who are forced to seek happiness abroad. We are different, but still the same,” says Zelenskiy.
At this time, the green light of the traffic light is turned on the video, and pedestrians walk towards each other, hug each other, and greet each other.
“Let’s unite to move forward,” the presidential candidate said.
