Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is working on intensifying the talks on settling the Donbas war, newly appointed deputy head of the Presidential Administration Office Vadym Prystaiko said.

“We have been discussing with the president for several hours how the process that has stalled can be made get off the ground: Minsk, all processes, including a peacekeeping one, the Trilateral Contact Group, the Normandy format, phone conversations between the leaders [the yesterday’s phone conversation between the leaders of France, Germany and Russia] and those that will take place soon,” he told reporters near the presidential administration’s building on May 22.

Prystaiko said that Ukraine now wants to learn about the outcomes of the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel and will outline its further steps afterwards.
