You're reading: Zelensky approves composition of delegation for talks with Iran over downed plane

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has approved a membership of the Ukrainian delegation for participation in the talks with Iran regarding passenger plane on flight PS752 of Ukrainian International Airlines shut down by Iran on Jan. 8, 2020.

Respective decree No.240/2020 was posted on the president’s website.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Enin was appointed to head the delegation. In total, 16 representatives of different departments became the members of the delegation.

According to the text of the decree, the head of the delegation is authorized to change the composition of the delegation under an agreement of the heads of the relevant state agencies, as well as to involve the employees of state agencies, enterprises, institutions, organizations in coordination with their heads, scientific advisers and experts.

The president also approved the Directives of the delegation to participate in the negotiations, which are concealed with the mark “top secret”.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was instructed to ensure financing of expenses associated with the participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the negotiations.

As reported, the UIA Boeing 737-800 passenger plane on flight PS752 from Tehran to Kyiv crashed near Tehran minutes after takeoff on Jan. 8, killing all 167 passengers on board the plane.

The commander of Aerospace Force of the IRGC Brigadier-General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh admitted full responsibility for the tragic air disaster.
