Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked the Verkhovna Rada to give its consent to relieving Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin of their duties and appointing Vadym Prystaiko new foreign minister.

“We ask the Ukrainian parliament very much to find an opportunity during this plenary week to consider the three proposals submitted by the president of Ukraine,” presidential representative at the Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said at a meeting of the parliamentary conciliatory council in Kyiv.

These proposals concern the Rada’s consent to the president’s discharging Yuriy Lutsenko as prosecutor general and Pavlo Klimkin as foreign minister and appointing Prystaiko foreign minister, he said.

Zelensky also expects the parliament to consider a bill on the operation of solar power plants and a bill on adjourning the implementation of the full-scale model of a liberalized electric energy market until July 1, 2020.
