President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences to Turkey and Greece, which suffered from a strong earthquake.

“Sad news about the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Greece in the Aegean Sea today. My sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims. I wish a speedy recovery to all victims. At this tragic moment, Ukraine supports friendly Greeks and Turks,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

As reported, on Oct. 30 at 11:51 a.m., a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Bornova, Bayrakli districts in the city of Izmir. The earthquake was centered at a depth of ten kilometers.

Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported six dead people and 202 injured people in the earthquake in Izmir region.
