President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky considers holding an all-Ukrainian referendum on Donbas if the conflict in eastern Ukraine cannot be resolved in the Normandy format, with Russia and the United States.

“As for the alternative plans. Plan ‘B’ – we are here, I believe, we are. And those who offer, for example, a wall, like plan ‘B’ or plan ‘C’ – it does not matter – a wall in any format […] Wall is a complete dissolution of relations in one form or another. I believe that this plan may exist, but the decision to launch this plan should be made by the people of Ukraine,” Zelensky said in an interview with Natalia Moseichuk on the 1+1 TV channel on June 25.

According to him, “if any alternative agreements with the United States, with Russia and, in parallel, in the Normandy format, will it work or not, fail, then the people of Ukraine will vote for the wall.”
