President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the implementation of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) decision on the development of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine until 2031, dated Aug. 20.
Relevant decree No. 459/2021 was released on the presidential website of the head of state on Sept. 8.
“Put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated Aug. 20, 2021 on the development of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine until 2031,” the president said in the document.
The NSDC decision is secret, and control over its implementation is entrusted to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov.
“This decree comes into force on the day of its publication,” the president said.
