President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and discussed the measures taken by both states to counteract coronavirus and the possibility to cooperate to overcome pandemic.
“We are grateful for the humanitarian assistance of Canada to counter the disease in Ukraine through the UN Humanitarian Fund in the amount of $368,000,” Zelensky said in a conversation as being quoted by its press service said on Monday.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Trudeau for the consistent support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Trudeau also conveyed his words of support to the wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, who fell ill with COVID-19, alike his wife Sophie Trudeau.
