President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that he is ready to make an unequal exchange for the sake of returning all prisoners from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and Russia back to Ukraine.
“As I have said, and I really think so, although many people, many Ukrainians may disagree with me, but I am sure that I am right: I would give 50, 100 Berkut [riot police] officers in exchange for one our serviceman. It is more valuable for me to return our heroes, all of them are heroes for me, those who defended and are defending Ukraine. And those, whom we returned, continue defending Ukraine, and this is our treasure,” he said in a film dedicated to the first year of his presidency, which was broadcast on the Ukraine TV channel on April 22.
