President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a telephone conversation discussed areas for further cooperation and agreed to combine the efforts of the two states in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Israel is an example of an effective fight against a pandemic. I would be grateful to your government for providing humanitarian assistance, as well as for sharing best practices in the fight against coronavirus,” Zelensky said in a conversation with Netanyahu, the presidential press service said on May 25.
Netanyahu noted that the Israeli government would consider this request of Ukraine, noting the friendly relations of the two states.
