Internal conflicts have always caused more damage to Ukraine than an external enemy, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said.
“We argue so much about the past, which means that we do not draw conclusions from our own great history. Because no enemy has hit us more than our own feuds,” Zelensky said, speaking at a ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence at the Independence Square in Kyiv on Tuesday.
“What is the strength of the Ukrainian people? In the Ukrainian people. These are citizens of Ukraine of all nationalities,” the head of the Ukrainian state said, after which he listed the nationalities that live in Ukraine and said that “we are all one team – the national team of Ukraine: 25 regions, 25 players”.
