President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wished health to the first Head of the Ukrainian State Leonid Kravchuk, noting that the adoption of the bill on a large state emblem is his idea and dream.
“I know that today you will have an extraordinary meeting and you will consider the issue of a big State Emblem. It was supposed to be presented today by the first President of Ukraine, Leonid Makarovych Kravchuk (…). This is his idea, his dream (…). I believe that he deserves support, we wish him good health. And a state like Ukraine definitely deserves one more symbol,” Zelensky said during a speech at a ceremonial meeting of the Verkhovna Rada dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
As reported, on June 28, during a ceremonial meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on the occasion of the Constitution Day, the President introduced a draft law on the big State Emblem of Ukraine for consideration by the parliament.
Earlier, the media reported that the first President of Ukraine, Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Leonid Kravchuk underwent heart surgery.
