President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with his decree instructed to restore the destroyed bridge over the Siversky Donets River in the area of the settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska (Luhansk region) by November 27.

The respective decree No. 738/2019 as of October 7 was posted on the president’s website.

“The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Luhansk Regional State Administration, according to a standard procedure, are instructed to take immediate measures for restoration of the destroyed bridge over the Siversky Donets River in Stanytsia Luhanska of the Luhansk region by November 27, 2019, as well as to construct the same-name checkpoint,” reads a draft decree.

Thus, the head of state instructed to ensure the establishment of effective interaction of entities involved in repair and restoration work, as well as access for repair and restoration workers to facilities and their safety.

In addition, according to the document, round-the-clock protection and lighting of storage facilities for building materials, vehicles and specialized engineering equipment to be provided.

Besides, Zelensky ordered to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint and the timely implementation of the works on the installation of a temporary bridge structure in order to create convenient conditions for the citizens entry for the period of restoration of the bridge across the Siversky Donets River.
