The ban to run important official positions during 10 years should apply to governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, head of the State Property Fund (SPF), head of the Ukrainian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee and their deputies, who took these posts from February 23, 2014 through May 19, 2019.

Draft amendments to the law on cleansing power (the so-called lustration law) have been submitted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the amendments, heads and members of the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER), the National Commission for Communications and Informatization Regulation (NCCR), the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market and the National Commission for Financial Service Markets Regulation are to be lustrated.

According to the bill, power cleansing will not apply to the persons who resigned from these posts.
