President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a meeting with Minister of Interior Affairs Arsen Avakov has stressed that participants and instigators of the shootout in Brovary, under preliminary data between legal and illegal passenger carriers, must be punished.
“I would like these people not to be released. I would like us to find instigators. I think this is obvious. In the video, I also saw that the shots hit the windows. It’s necessary that we sort things out on the spot there, help people, just ordinary people, who got into this situation,” he said at a meeting with the Interior minister on May 29 broadcast on Ukraine 24 TV.
Zelensky also wondered if the police really didn’t know what was happening in Brovary. The president noted that what happened “was reminiscent of the 1990s.”
