President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with President of the European Council Donald Tusk, during which the parties discussed the course of implementation of the agreements of the 21st EU-Ukraine Summit, as well as energy security issues in Europe.

“A separate topic of discussion was the energy security in Europe and the situation with the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project. The two agreed on the importance of unconditional adherence to the EU energy legislation by all EU member states,” the presidential press service reported on Nov. 14.

Tusk commended a substantial intensification of reforms in Ukraine, particularly in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union.

President of Ukraine thanked Tusk for his important personal role in the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union during his tenure as President of the European Council and wished him success in his future activities. For his part, Tusk assured of his continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for reforms in our country.
