President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that work at the Ukrainian parliament on the adoption of bills on key reforms is at the final stage.

“There are several important reforms – judicial reform, reform of the High Council of Justice, SBU. We are moving very quickly. These bills are gaining thousands of amendments at the Ukrainian parliament. So in such laws as land, as the HCJ, as the banking law, the SBU – there are 3,000-5,000 amendments. And today we are at the final stage of all these reforms. Basically, we have already gone through all these thousands of amendments over the months,” Zelensky said at a joint briefing with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda in Vilnius on July 7.

He also said that he expects the adoption of a law on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) soon.

“The law on NABU is at the parliament. As soon as the parliament is ready to vote for it, it will be, and I do not see any slowdowns in this process. There is a format for this bill, which has a balance between agreements both with international partners, and, which is very important – with the Ukrainian parliament. And it seems to me that soon this bill will be adopted,” the President said.

Also, according to Zelensky, “Ukraine became the first country in the world where there was a law on de-oligarchization.”
