President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine had done everything for Iran to allow its specialists to the crash site of the Ukrainian passenger plane shot down in Tehran on Jan. 8 and officially admit the guilt of its military in this tragedy.

“We did everything for Tehran to allow us to the scene of the incident, to the bodies. There were questions, on the very first day our guys, professionals, informed me that there was no cab, wings, chairs there. Naturally, we, together with ours partners, pressured the Iranian side to get all possible physical evidence. And indeed, on the second day after this pressure, we got it,” he said in an interview with Israeli Channel 9.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine on the very first day did not voice the version the plane had been shot down, because “everything should be in order,” and serious accusations require very serious confirmation.

According to him, Ukraine almost from the very beginning knew and was sure that the version about “technical errors, malfunctions, the wrong course, and unprofessional control of the aircraft” was not correct.

The president pointed out that Ukraine achieved Iran’s recognizing its guilt in the downing of the aircraft thanks to its commission, which worked on the spot, as well as the participation of international partners in the person of the United States, the UK, and Canada.
