Ukraine might somewhat relax coronavirus restrictions after April 24 if the epidemic does not spread critically, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on April 17.

“Together with the government, we will establish communication with the public on April 24. The people will understand what quarantine measures will be eased. Why? Because people could partially start being allowed to return to work, and some industries that are very important to us will be reopening,” Zelensky said in a TV show hosted by Savik Shuster on Ukrainian television on April 17 evening.

“Some partial relaxation concerning transport might be in May,” Zelensky said. “That is, such things will be done if there is no big surge,” he said.
