The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has reported new attacks on Azerbaijani military positions on the border with Armenia in the areas of Gadabay and Kalbajar.
“On August 11-12, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the Chambarak, Ttujur settlements of the Chambarak region, as well as Ashaghi Shorzha of the Basarkechar region using small arms periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions in the direction of Zamanli and Garavellar settlements of the Gadabay region, as well as Zeylik settlement of the Kalbajar region,” the ministry said on Thursday.
The Azerbaijani forces did not sustain any casualties, it said.
“The enemy was suppressed by the returned fire. Units of the Azerbaijani army are in control of the operative situation,” the ministry said.
