You're reading: Foreign Ministry recommends Ukrainians not to travel to Sudan

he Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issued a recommendation for Ukrainian citizens to refrain from traveling to Sudan, in the capital of which four ministers and a civilian member of the ruling sovereign council were detained.

“We are closely following the development of the situation in Khartoum. We recommend that Ukrainians refrain from traveling to Sudan for now, and those who are in the country avoid crowded places, stay in a safe place,” Oleh Nikolenko, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said on Twitter on Oct. 25.
