You're reading: Georgia records 1,351 new COVID-19 cases, 14 deaths

TBILISI – Doctors in Georgia have identified 1,351 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s total case count to 21,208, the Georgian Health Ministry said on Oct. 21.

Georgia reported 1,194 new COVID-19 cases on Oct. 20.

Another 14 coronavirus-related deaths have been registered in Georgia in the past 24 hours, raising the country’s related death toll to 172, the Health Ministry said.

As many as 4,462 people are in quarantine, and 3,071 are under medical observation in hospitals. A total of 1,772 patients are being treated in specialized hospitals. The overall number of recoveries stands at 9,003.
