MOSCOW – Representatives of the moderate Syrian opposition Hmeimim Group have still not received an invitation for an intra-Syrian meeting in Astana, but are ready to attend it, leader of the group Ilian Masaad said.
“We have still not received an invitation for a meeting in Astana. But the Hmeimim Group is the only opposition group, which is recognized both by Moscow and Washington,” he told Interfax.
“The issue of our attendance at this meeting depends on Russia,” Masaad said.
He also assumed that the meeting in Astana will be held at the level of military representatives.
