NPR: China says its economy, recovering from the pandemic, grew 2.3% last year

Just over a year after the world’s first coronavirus cases were identified in China, the country’s economy has bounced back from the ravages of the pandemic. China’s economy grew by 2.3% last year, according to data published Monday by the country’s National Bureau of Statistics.
