Politico: Europe’s leaders rated on their coronavirus response

By now, just about everyone knows that COVID-19 is no laughing matter, much less “like the flu,” as one prominent American politician long insisted (until he caught it). Seven months into the pandemic – just in time for the second wave we all hoped wouldn’t arrive but knew was inevitable – Europeans have become decidedly more sophisticated about how to handle the crisis.
