BUCHAREST – Romanian protesters clashed with riot police on Saturday when they stopped construction workers from building a Christmas fair at the site of anti-corruption demonstrations in Bucharest.

Around 2,000 people gathered at Victoria square to protest against Romanian judicial reforms widely perceived as weakening the fight against corruption.
The demonstration's motto is "Romania is dying".
