Stop Russia Now is a Europe-wide campaign supported by the Polish authorities. It aims to remind the EU politicians about the Russian war crimes in Ukraine. It is a wake-up call for Europeans and politicians.
#STOPRUSSIANOW billboards around Europe
Dozens of billboards have been traveling around Europe and appealing to the conscience of ordinary people and political leaders. They described the daily lives of all Europeans and the everyday life of the people of Ukraine.
The billboards are translated into eight languages and have been seen by the citizens of Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Munich, Hamburg, The Hague, Rome, Budapest, Vienna, Sofia, and Athens.
As the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki explains, it is the scream of those who were brutally murdered in the streets of their native cities and towns in Ukraine.
Time to mobilize Europe
The organizers of the campaigns emphasize that everybody has the power to help end this war sooner. If you check the website stoprussianow.eu, you will find five easy but vital actions that each of us can complete.
- Support and donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- Check the list of companies that operate in Russia and boycott them
- Send emails to authorities
- Say how much you disapprove of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine
- Share the information about the project on social media platforms
The stories of real Ukrainians
Within the #StoprussiaNOW campaign, the organizers reveal stories of brave Ukrainians who fight for their freedom and whose lives have changed since Feb 24th.
“Mariupol is a city of love and kindness. It’s my home that was destroyed. It’s been replaced by murders, rapes, bombing, and torturing of civilians, mobile crematoria, and mass graves,” says Kateryna, a volunteer rescuer from Mariupol.
You can also watch the stories of a Ukrainian film director, a Ukrainian model, or a Ukrainian pianist. All stories are available on the project’s YouTube channel.
Breakthrough the wall of European indifference
This crucial message is enough maneuvering to help Ukraine. Start acting. Since April 23rd, the campaign’s results are:
- the digital campaign reached 194M users and generated 7,5M actions/clicks
- 8,8M users watched the stories of Ukrainians
- 5,5M users visited the website stoprussianow.eu
- people sent more than 1 710 000 emails to authorities
“Enough excuses and half-measures while Ukrainians are being bombed, killed, tortured, and raped,” underlines Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s government official.
