The White House has released a statement by President Joseph Biden on the new rules for air travel in the United States, which will take effect on Nov. 8, the press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States has said.

“The new regulation of international air travel in the United States requires foreign nationals traveling to the United States to be fully vaccinated and provide vaccination documents before boarding a plane. No proof of vaccination is required for children under 17 years of age to enter,” it says.

It is noted that the rules provide for the introduction of vaccination requirements for travelers, as well as the abolition of travel restrictions for foreigners from the Schengen countries, Great Britain, Ireland, China, Brazil, Iran, South Africa, and India.

In addition, for all persons aged two years and older, the requirement for a mandatory presentation of a negative test result for COVID-19, made within three days before the planned trip, remains.

“Those traveling to the United States and unable to demonstrate proof of complete vaccination will be required to provide documentation of a negative test result made within one day of departure,” the embassy said.

It is also reported that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has included Ukraine in the list of countries with a high risk of travel due to the development of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The decision is advisory in nature for U.S. citizens.
