Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton "discussed ways of stabilizing the political situation in Ukraine, current economic reforms and measures to strengthen democratic institutions" at a meeting in Kyiv on Feb. 5, the Ukrainian leader's press office reported.
