Taras Kuzio: Respect needs to be earned

The Ukrainian authorities have complained about a new French film on the Euromaidan. As Radio Liberty-Radio Free Europe point out, the documentary repeats Putin’s Russia’s propaganda about a “Nazi-led coup’ in Kyiv that was driven by Western support and conspiracy to overthrow a pro-Russian leader. The film director never attempts to be objective in covering the Euromaidan and most likely his French anti-Americanism deeply influenced his screenplay. In this sense, he is like the extreme left who control the UK Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn, believing that authoritarian (some would say fascist) Russia is an ally against “American imperialism.’
