Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on April 20, 2021, invited Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to meet in war-torn eastern Ukraine, stressing that millions of lives were at stake in Russia’s war against Ukraine, which has killed 14,000 people and left the Kremlin illegally controlling the Crimean peninsula and the eastern Donbas — 7 percent of Ukraine’s territory.
