How the pandemic changed the Ukrainian fashion industry

Ukrainian Fashion Week (UFW) was founded in 1997, making it the first prêt-à-porter week in Eastern Europe.

The biannual event displays the collections of more than 50 designers. This year’s Ukrainian Fashion Week, dubbed No Season 2021, took place entirely online. The event lasted from Feb. 5 to 8 at Kyiv’s Mystetskyi Arsenal National Art Complex. It featured 28 fashion shows from Ukrainian and international designers.

This year’s fashion trends reflect the challenges and changes the pandemic is having on Ukrainian designers and the entire fashion industry.
