Why journalists worry about Ukraine’s proposed media laws

Two laws regulating the media market in Ukraine are to be voted in Parliament in next several months. The Servant of the People party introduced the Media Law, while the Ministry of Culture drafted a separate Disinformation Law. In this video we will explain why one of them is generally described by media professionals as “good,” and why the other might be used to silence independent media.
