Ukraine has identified 673 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as of 9 a.m. on July 21.
The highest numbers of new cases were registered in Lviv Oblast (114), Zakarpattia Oblast (78), Ivano-Frankivska Oblast (75) and the city of Kyiv (73).
At the moment, there are 26,449 active cases in the country. The total number of infections identified in Ukraine since the start of the pandemic stands at 60,166; a total of 32,199 citizens have recovered and 1,518 have died of the disease.
Of all cases registered in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, 50 are children and 35 are medical workers.
In the past 24 hours, Ukraine has recorded 20 deaths from COVID-19, 162 patients have been hospitalized and 760 have recovered.

A total of 10,529 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests were administered across the country during the past 24 hours. In addition, Ukrainian laboratories carried out 14,115 antibody tests (ELISA), Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said at his morning briefing on July 21.
Because the number of cases in the country is still high, Ukraine cannot lift all quarantine restrictions on July 31, as was previously planned. In an interview with the RBK-Ukraine news outlet on July 15, Stepanov said Ukraine will extend the COVID-19 quarantine until at least September.
Globally, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached over 14.8 million as of July 21; over 613,000 people have died and more than 8.9 million patients have recovered.
The United States, Brazil, India and Russia have the highest numbers of cases.
