Ukraine has recorded 836 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as of 9 a.m. on July 15.

At the moment, there are 26,049 active cases in the country. The total number of infections identified in Ukraine since the start of the pandemic stands at 55,607; a total of 28,131 citizens have recovered and 1,427 have died of the disease.

Of all cases registered in Ukraine, 3,967 are children and 7,540 are medical workers.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine recorded 15 new deaths from COVID-19, 224 patients have been hospitalized and 977 have recovered. The highest numbers of new cases were registered Lviv Oblast (171), Kyiv (147), Kharkiv Oblast (64) and Zakarpattia Oblast (57).

A total of 13,675 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests were administered across the country during the past 24 hours. In addition, Ukrainian laboratories carried out 15,369 antibody tests (ELISA), Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said at his morning briefing on July 15.

Globally, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached over 13.2 million as of July 15; over 581,316 people have died and 7.8 million patients have recovered.

The United States, Brazil, India, and Russia have the highest numbers of cases.
