Euan MacDonald has worked as a journalist in Ukraine for around 20 years, at the Kyiv Post, Interfax-Ukraine and the UNIAN news agency. He is also a freelance reporter in Ukraine for BBC local radio, and various UK, U.S., Canadian and Australian television channels. He also founded the famed journalists’ watering hole in Kyiv, Baraban (The Drum). He speaks Russian, reads French, and can follow most of what’s said to him in Ukrainian.
